The regular monthly meeting was held Aug 2^nd,  2011 at Lake Raystown, Huntingdon PA. (Annual Steak and corn feed)

All Lodge officers present except Vice President Cornelius, Conductor Hetzel, and Trustee Neil.

President Kovel led the members in attendance with the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer.

MOTION made by Brother L. Wagner and second by Brother Ritter to waive the reading of the previous minutes. Motion passed.

SICKNESS AND DISTRESS – Brother Gene Jenkins father passed away. Brother Hanna still battling colon cancer and doing well. Brother Bob Long is going in for open heart surgery in Deleware this week.

REPORTS OF FINANCIAL SECRETARY/TREASURER – Treasurers report provided by Treasurer Bill Cunningham.

MOTION made by Brother Friedenberger and second by Brother Johns to accept the reports. Motion passed.

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES – Shrimp feed Oct. 12 at the Bedford American Legion

BALLOTING OF CANIDIDATES – Application and check for the proper amount due for Associate membership received from Gene Decker of Everett PA and sponsored by President Kovel.

MOTION made by Brother B. Kovel and second by Brother Patrick to accept the application. Motion passed.

READING OF COMMUNICATIONS – None

NEW BUSINESS – None

GOOD OF THE ORDER – President Kovel related a reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Hollidaysburg in the near future for the Bridge dedication in honor of Danny Lightnour. (Date & Time to be announced)

   President Kovel spoke about his running for PSTA President. Ron Zona from the Greensburg Lodge was also present who is running for PSTA Secretary with Kovel of which both spoke about some of their concerns, interests, and plans for the PSTA if elected.

   Brother Bill Cunningham discussed the meeting with the Captain and the need to have all or more of the station reps present for the meeting.

   Retirement / Lodge Appreciation  Certificates given to Brother Matt Wright and Brother Kassebohm.

Motion made by Brother Blackburn and second by Brother Thomas to support Brother Kovel in his running for PSTA President. Motion passed.

(Brother Kovel will be running for PSTA President with the following, Vice President-Todd Rudey, Secretary-Ron Zona, and Treasurer Harry Danour)

MOTION made by Brother Hawk to give 50/50 money to Brother Kovel to assist with his travels and campaigning for PSTA President this fall. Motion withdrawn by Brother Hawk after a brief discussion on the same.

MOTION made by Brother Friedenberger and second by brother Thomas to make a donation of $250.00 to Brother Kovel to assist with his Presidential ticket. Motion passed.

MOTION made by Brother Hawk and second by Brother Friedenberger to pay the bills against the Lodge, Motion passed.

MOTION made by Brother Ritter to Adjourn, second by Brother Johns, motion passed.
