COLA UPDATE concerning HB 2379 and HB 2084.  On April 29, 2008 the House State Government Committee met to consider HB 2084, a COLA bill introduced by Representative Gibbons on December 5, 2007. At this time a motion was made to amend the bill by stripping the language of HB 2084 and inserting the language of HB 2379 (COLA) which had been introduced by Representative Nickol and 154 other sponsors on April 15, 2008.  The motion to amend carried and HB 2084 was voted out of the committee.  HB 2084 was reported as amended with first consideration and laid on the table on May 5, 2008. HB 2084 was removed from the table and re-committed to Appropriations on May 6, 2008.
